PHP security issue: what it means for your Jimdo website

On 21.10.2026, two security vulnerabilities in PHP (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619) were publicly disclosed, affecting billions of webpages and services worldwide. PHP is a programming language used by many websites and web servers, so you may have seen reports about it.

What we did

Our team acted right away. We updated our systems to the new, secure version of PHP. Together with our security team, we then tested our systems to make sure the update is working and that our customers' websites are protected.

What we found

So far, we have found no evidence that this security issue was misused or that customer data was affected. We’ll keep monitoring closely.

What you need to do

Nothing. Unlike self-hosted websites, where owners have to install updates themselves, Jimdo takes care of platform security for you. There’s nothing you need to do on your website.
